Pros and cons for working at age 14 or 15

Benefits for working young
The biggest advantage of starting work on the market early during this period will lead to better financial results than the timing of the market. These are the basics of investing. So if your teenager is interested in investing their salary, that financial growth is a good reason to let them work.
Teens who work have an opportunity to learn and practice personal finance in the real world before it becomes an all-or-nothing situation. Screwing up and overspending at 15 is a lot easier to fix than doing it at 21.
Working outside the home can broaden a teenager's skills and diversify their experiences. Young people generally have a high level of job satisfaction. This can give them an edge over their peers at their next job or college since they've already practiced interviewing and professional behavior.
Disadvantages for young workers
FLSA requires employers only to pay workers under the age of 20 $4.25 an hour for the first 90 consecutive days of employment, and then they are required to do soregular minimum wage. Certain students, trainees or people with disabilities may, in some cases, be paid less than minimum wage.
ZipRecruiter sees that teen wages vary widely from $6.97 an hour to $28.12 an hour, with an average hourly rate of about $17. This includes older teenagers. How much is your child's time worth? This is especially important if they need tutoring or want to take part in extracurricular activities that can help them later.
The most staggering downside is that some research has shown that as you work more hours, grades can drop. In some cases, teenagers began using alcohol and drugs because of an apparent sense of independence and maturity that comes with work. However, some believe these risks can be mitigated by the home and work environment.
